{(-3+14)÷2}=5.5

Explanation:

So, the midpoint formula is basically just taking the coordinates of points, adds them, and then averages them.

x1 and x2 are the x-values of the points you want to find the midpoint of.

y1 and y2 are the y-values of the points you want to find the midpoint of.

So you just take the x-values, add them together, then divide by two, and you have the x-value for the midpoint!

(same for y-value of the midpoint)

Now, to solve:


M((-3+7)/(2) , (14+5)/(2) )=M(2,9.5)
