Calculate the hollow conducting cylinder with an inner diameter a= 10 mm and outer diameter b= 18 mm. The height of the cylinder is 35 mm. Find the volume of cylinder.

Explanation:

If R is the outer radius and r the inner radius of a hollow cylinder of height h, then volume of cylinder = π (R² - r²)h

Here R = 18/2 = 9

and r= 10/2 =5

Volume = π (9² - 5²) . 35 = π x 56 x 35 = 1960 π
