Brian rides his bike 0.27 of a mile per min. If it takes him 27 mins to ride his bike to his friends house, how far away does his friend live ?

in 27 mins the distance is going to be more than the other ( i.e 0.27 miles)

We use the proportion then get a solution

1 min = 0.27 miles

27 mins = (27 mins÷ 1 min) × 0.27

= 27 × 0.27 miles

= 7.29 miles
