Mathematically;

speed = distance/time

Train A

12.5 m in 1 second

speed = 12.5/1 = 12.5 m/s

Train B

100 m in 4 seconds

speed = 100/4 = 25 m/s

So train B is traveling faster

This is because it covered a distance of 100 m in 4 seconds as opposed to train A which covered a distance of 12.5 m

in 1 second
