Taylor bought a necklace for each of her three sisters. She paid $7.50 for each necklace. Supposed she had $9 left. How much money did she have initially to spend on each sister?

Answer:

7.50 x 3= 22.50

22.50+9= 31.50

Explanation:

If each necklace was $7.50 and she got one for each of her 3 sisters then we need to multiply $7.50 by 3. Finally, she has $9 left over. So if we add the total she spent on the necklaces and the 9 she has left over then we will get the total she started with.
