emotional health-a state of positive psychological functioning

hormones- a person's sex hormones as held to influence behavior or mood.

emotional spectrum-an energy field that is fueled by the emotions of all sentient beings.

triggers-cause (an event or situation) to happen or exist.

body language- the process of communicating nonverbally through conscious or unconscious gestures and movements.

active listening- the listener fully concentrate, understand, respond and then remember what is being said.

self esteem- confidence in one's own worth or abilities; self-respect.

positive self talk- Self-talk can affect your perspective. It can boost you up or take you down. So, tell your self positive things to cheer you up.

mental illness- A disorder that can cause psychological and behavioral disturbances with varying severities.

Anxiety disorder- a common mental illness defined by feelings of uneasiness, worry and fear.

panic attacks- a sudden feeling of acute and disabling anxiety.

Phobias- an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something.

obsessions- a persistent disturbing preoccupation with an often unreasonable idea or feeling broadly

mood disorder- a psychological disorder characterized by the elevation or lowering of a person's mood, such as depression or bipolar disorder. Also called affective disorder.

bipolar mood disorder-a mental illness that brings severe high and low moods and changes in sleep, energy, thinking, and behavior.

hallucination- an experience involving the apparent perception of something not present.

delusion-an idiosyncratic belief or impression that is firmly maintained despite being contradicted by what is generally accepted as reality or rational argument, typically a symptom of mental disorder.

schizophrenia- a long-term mental disorder of a type involving a breakdown in the relation between thought, emotion, and behavior, leading to faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings, withdrawal from reality and personal relationships into fantasy and delusion, and a sense of mental fragmentation.

paranoia- a mental condition characterized by delusions of persecution, unwarranted jealousy, or exaggerated self-importance, typically elaborated into an organized system. It may be an aspect of chronic personality disorder, of drug abuse, or of a serious condition such as schizophrenia in which the person loses touch with reality

depression- feelings of severe despondency and dejection.

psychiatrist- a medical practitioner specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.
