Hi :)

12 + 5 + 3^2 x 10 - 5 = 102

(12 + 5)+ 3^2 x (10 - 5) = 62

12 + 5 + 3^2 x 10 - 5

Add 12 and 5 to get 17
17 + 3^2 × 10−5

Calculate 3 to the power of 2 and get 9
17 + 9 × 10 − 5

Multiply 9 and 10 to get 90
17 + 90 − 5

Add 17 and 90 to get 107
107−5

Subtract 5 from 107 to get 102

(12 + 5)+ 3^2 x (10 - 5)

Add 12 and 5 to get 17
17 + 3^2 x (10 - 5)

Calculate 3 to the power of 2 and get 9
17 + 9 x (10−5)

Subtract 5 from 10 to get 5
17+ 9 × 5

Multiply 9 and 5 to get 45
17+45

Add 17 and 45 to get 62.

Hope this helps :)

Answer:

1) 102

2) 62

Explanation:

12 + 5 + 3² × 10 - 5

12 + 5 + 9 × 10 - 5

12 + 5 + 90 - 5

17 + 90 - 5

107 - 5

102

(12+5) + 3² × (10 - 5)

(17) + 9 × (5)

17 + 45

62
