x ^ 2–2x + 1

by splitting this equation

x ^ 2 - x -x + 1

there are a two terms x ^ 2 - x and - x + 1

we take x is common from first and -1 is common from second

x ( x - 1 ) and -1 ( x-1 )

the quadratic roots are (x-1) and (x-1)

x - 1 = 0

x = 1 in both

Therefore , the quadratic roots are 1 , 1 .
