Area of semicircle =

\frac{ {\pi \: r}^(2)}{2}

Area of the given semicircle = 1232 cm^2

\frac{ {\pi \: r}^(2)}{2} = 1232 \\ = > {\pi \: r}^(2) =( 1232 * 2) \\ = > (22)/(7) {r}^(2) = 2464 \\ = > {r}^(2) = ( (2464 * 7)/(22) ) \\ = > {r}^(2) = 784 \\ = > r = √(784) \\ = > r = 28cm

d = r * 2 \\ d = (28 * 2 )cm\\ d = 56cm

Hence, the diameter of the circle is 56cm
