  • when you expand problems like these you need to multiple the number in front of the variable the the other numbers in front of the variables and add the exponents
  • like this
  • -4•11= -44 | 5+3=8 I -44x⁸
  • -4•2= -8 | 2+5=7 | -8x⁷
  • -4•9= -36 | 1+5=6 | -36x⁶
  • -4•1= -4 | 0+5=5 | -4x⁵
  • put it all together and you get -44x⁸–8x⁷–36x⁶–4x⁵
