Closely related species differentiate and slightly different climate
Example: A Hawaiian monk seal can live in a hot climates but the harp seal lives in a colder climate. They are the same species but adapted different characteristics to survive

Closely related means that they are alike in some cases. However, it also means they differ depending on the context of how they’re used.
