x < 1/2

x > -2

Explanation:

We know that 4x + 3 < 5 and 4x + 3 > -5

4x + 3 < 5

~Subtract 3 to both sides

4x < 2

~Divide 4 to both sides

x < 2/4 or x < 1/2

4x + 3 > -5

~Subtract 3 to both sides

4x > -8

~Divide 4 to both sides

x > -2
