Answer:

There are many factors which led to the American Revolution. King George III imposed heavy taxes on the American colonists which they refused to pay as well as many American patriots and founding fathers being well versed in the ideas and ideals of the Enlightenment thinkers. Many events took place as well which angered the colonists such as the Boston Massacre in which several colonists were killed. All of these events as well as many colonists believing that they should have the right to rule themselves rather than listening to the king of England eventually led to the successful revolution which then in turn inspired many other revolutions such as the French Revolution.

Answer:

The Cause of the American Revolution No single event caused the revolution. It was, instead, a series of events that led to the war. Essentially, it began as a disagreement over the way Great Britain governed the colonies and the way the colonies thought they should be treated.
