Take 1960 as 0 then find out next year's

  • 1970=10
  • 1980=20
  • 1990=30
  • 2000=40
  • 2005=45
  • 2010=50

Also

Divide each population by one thousand i.e turn to decimal .

Response variable (dependent variable) is along the y-axis.

The population number is dependent upon the year, therefore, draw the year along the x-axis and the population along the y-axis.

As the data values for the year start at 1960, it is sensible to begin the x-axis at 1950.
