Exponential Function:

It is known that the concentration of anesthesia in human blood decreases exponentially according to the function
f(x)=k* 0.95^(x) , where K is the initial amount of anesthesia in milligrams and X is the time in minutes since its administration, how many milligrams of anesthesia are left in the patient's blood after hour and a half if it is known that 60 mg of anesthesia is initially administered?

Solution

Given,

  • f(x) = k * 0.95^x

To find ;

  • f(x) when x = 1•5hrs
  • k = 60 mg

Now,

  • 1•5 hrs = 90min

So,

  • f(90)= 60*0.95^90
  • = 0.59 mg

The required answer is 0.59mg .

Answer:

  • 0.59 mg

Explanation:

Given

  • Function f(x)= k*0.95^x

To find

  • f(x) when x= 1.5 hours and k = 60mg

Solution

  • 1.5 hours = 90 min
  • f(90) = 60*0.95^90 = 0.59 mg rounded
