Answer:

the answer is -1.8 if you want to use the decimal and -9/5 if you want to use the fraction

Explanation:

4x + 30 = -6(x - 2)

4x+30 = -6x + 12

4x + 6x = 12 - 30

10x = -18

divide both side by 10

x = -9/5 or -1 4/5 or -1.8

( also not trying to gatekeep so i wanna say that i got this answer from an app named photomath. i scanned the question in the camera and it pulled the answer. hoped it helped love!)

Answer: x= -9/5 or x = -1.8

Explanation:

4x + 30 = -6(x - 2) First apply the distributive property on the left side

4x + 30 = -6x + 12 Add 6x to both sides

+6x +6x

10x + 30 = 12 Subtract 30 from both sides

-30 -30

10x = -18 Divide both sides by 10

x = -9/5 or x = -1.8
