Two different families bought general admission tickets for a Reno Aces baseball game.

One family paid $70 for 6 adults and 2 children. The other family paid $59 for 3 adults and
4 children. How much does an adult ticket cost?

Family One:

$8x6= $48

$70-$48= $22

$22 ÷ 2 = $11

48+22= 70

Family Two:

$8x3= 24

$11x4= 44

44+24 =68

Family Two is not $59 so A isn't correct

Family One:

$9x6= $54

$70-$54= $16

$16÷2= 8

$54+$16= $70

Family Two:

$9x3=$27

$8x4= $32

$32+$27 =$59

These numbers match up to the ticket prices- therefore the answer is B. Adults tickets = $9
