An isosceles triangle has a perimeter of 45 cm. If the two equal sides are each twice as long as the smallest side, what is the length of the smallest side?

A: 3
B: 7
C: 9
D: 15
E: 18

The length of the smallest side is 9. I did 9 times 2 =18 then 18+18=36. 36 is the two equal sides combined add them with 9 and you get 45 the perimeter. This whole thing was process of elimination to try to get 45.

Small side=9
