3) Alternate exterior angles = congruent

= -1 + 14x
= 12x + 17

4) Corresponding angles = supplementary (measures add up to 180 degrees)
= 23x - 5
= 21x + 5

Answer:
3) x = 9, 125 degree
4) x = 5, 110 degree

Explanation:

In Q3 :-

Alternate Exterior Angles are Equal.

Therefore,
=> -1 + 14x = 12x + 17
= 14x - 12x = 17 + 1
= 2x = 18
=> x = 18/2 = 9

Therefore, x = 9

Now finding each angle :-

=> -1 + 14x
= -1 + 14(9)
= -1 + 126
= 125

=> 12x + 17
= 12(9) + 17
= 108 + 17
= 125

Hence, both are Equal.

In Q4 :-

Corresponding Angles are Equal.

Therefore,
=> 23x - 5 = 21x + 5
= 23x - 21x = 10
= 2x = 10
=> x = 10/2 = 5

Therefore, x = 5

Now finding each angle :-

=> 23x - 5
= 23(5) - 5
= 115 - 5
= 110

=> 21x + 5
= 21(5) + 5
= 105 + 5
= 110

Hence, both are Equal.
