Pretty sure the answer is 3 pounds you can pretty much repeatedly take away 8.17 from 80 till you get 55.49

80 - 8.17 = 71.83

71.83 - 8.17 = 63.66

63.66 - 8.17 = 55.49

so 3 Pounds since you took 8.17 three times to get 55.49
