The paragraph below is part of the introduction to the literary analysis essay "Choose Wisely." As you read it, think about what should be added to make the introduction stronger.

The most exciting books and movies focus on the difficult decisions characters make and the results of those choices. In The Outsiders, S. E. Hinton develops her characters to show how both good and bad decisions have a direct influence on one's quality of life. In fact, making responsible decisions is one of the most important themes in this coming-of-age novel. As the novel continues, Hinton focuses on the development of three characters--Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally--to show how the decisions they make change their lives for better or worse. Within the violent, poverty-stricken world of the greasers with its limited opportunities for change, Hinton proves that making wise, long-term decisions is the best way to live life.

What revision should be made to the introduction?
