There are 40 people in a room. The ration of men to women is 2:3. If 5 more men enter the room, what will the new ratio be?

7 : 8 (men to women)

Explanation:

Ratio = 2 : 3 (men to women)

40 people in all

40 / 5 = 8

2 x 8 = 16 (men)

3 x 8 = 24 (women)

16 + 5 = 21

21 : 24
