Explain how a cube root is different from a square root?

The only number this is true for is 1 . The square root and cube root of 1 is 1.

For all other perfect square/ perfect cube numbers they are different. For example square root of 64 is 8 and its cube root.

The cube root of a number is written with a small number 3, called the index, just outside and above the radical symbol.
