three teams, Team A, Team B, and Team C, and they collected 12 pounds of
trash in all. Team B collected 3 pounds of trash, and Team C collected 5 pounds
of trash.

The pan balance represents equality. Draw shapes on both sides of the
balance scale to represent the situation. Use a sphere to represent each
pound of known trash and a cube to represent the total weight of the
unknown trash.​

Answer: For the first scale, u would put a cube and 8 spheres. For the second, u would put the total which is 12 so 12 spheres.
