Answer:

roots are not real

Explanation:

Given a quadratic equation in standard form

ax² + bx + c = 0 (a ≠ 0 )

Then the nature of the roots can be found using the discriminant

Δ = b² - 4ac

• If b² - 4ac > 0 then roots are real and distinct

• If b² - 4ac = 0 then roots are real and equal

• If b² - 4ac < 0 then roots are not real

Given

9x² - 6x + 2 = 0

with a = 9, b = - 6, c = 2 , then

b² - 4ac = (- 6)² - (4× 9 × 2) = 36 - 72 = - 36

Since b² - 4ac < 0 then the roots are not real
