Perimeter of a triangle is 450 m and its sides are in the ratio 13 : 12 : 5. Find the area of the triangle and the altitude to the largest side.

Answer:

a = 195 m , b = 180 m , c = 75 m

Explanation:

Let "a,b and c" be the sides of the triangle in the ration - 13:12:5

therefore , a:b:c = 13:12:5 => a = 13x , b = 12x , and c = 5x

therefore , Perimeter = 13x + 12x + 5x = 450

=> 30x = 450

=> x = 15

therefore , a = 13 x 15

b = 12 x 15 and

c = 5 x 15

hence , a = 195 m , b = 160 m and c = 75 m
