Answer:

Brian wondered how he got so separated from his family while camping. He began to regret running too far into the woods to hide while playing hide and seek with his younger sister, eleven year old Marie. He knew she would be sick with worry now she was yet to find him, it was more than forty minutes and already getting late.

He looked around and noticed there was a fog which was growing thicker by the minute. Brian was a strong young lad who was not easily scared but he was already feeling the first nags of fear which he tried to suppress.

If only he could find his way to a landmark close to where his family were. He thought about starting a fire, but he didn't pay attention when he was in the Boy's Scout. He found a tree and sat down on the trunk and began to cry softly.
