Explanation:

Parallel lines have the same slope, so in this case the parallel line will be:

y = 0.6x + b

There's b because you don't know the y-intercept yet

Then you want to substitute the point (-3, -5) since the parallel line passes through it

-5 = 0.6(-3) + b

-5 = -1.8 + b

b = -3.2

*solved for y-intercept

Answer: y = 0.6x - 3.2
