Answer:

a = 14.4

Explanation:

8a/8 = a 8(-a+4)/8=-a+4 equation is now -a+4=-6a-8

-6a/-6 = a -a/-6=1/6a equation is now 1/6a + 4 = a-8

a-8 + 8 = a 1/6a + 4 + 8 = 1/6a + 12 equation is now a = 1/6a+12

5/6 are left of the variable 12/5=2.4 12 + 2.4 = 14.4
