So, using the points given, you can tell that the line is moving 2 units down while also moving 2 units to the left. Another way to calculate this is y2-y1 over(/) x2-x1, the y equals your y coordinates, x equals your x coordinants,d the 1 and 2 represent which points. Whichever point you use, you have to use the same coordinants fr the same value. For example, if you took the points (-2,0) and (0,-2) and you used (0,-2) as your second value, you can enter those into the formula.

(-2)-(0) / (0)-(-2) = -2 / 2

the denominater is a possitive two because, when you subtract a negative number, that number becomes positive and you now add it due to the distributive property. 0-(1)(-2) = -2 x -1 = 2
