Let's see what to do buddy...

- 3(4 - 2x) = 4 - 2x

Subtract the sides of the equation minus( 4 - 2x ) :

- 3(4 - 2x) - (4 - 2x) = 0

Factoring ( 4 - 2x ) :

(4 - 2x)( - 3 - 1) = 0

(4 - 2x)( - 4) = 0

Divided the sides of the equation by -4

4 - 2x = 0

Subtract the sides of the equation minus 4

- 2x = - 4

Negatives simplified.

2x = 4

Divided the sides of the equation by 2

x = (4)/(2) \\

x = 2
