The perimeter of a rectangle is 60 meters. The length of a rectangle is 2 m less than the width find the length and the width of the rectangle

Explanation:

length = (x-2)

width = x

perimeter = 2 lengths + 2 widths

60 m = (x-2) + (x-2) + x + x

60 m = 4x - 4

64 m = 4x

16 m = x

length = (x-2) = (16-2) = 14 m

width = x = 16 m
