The Allies so much needed to hear this news. From now on, all the strength and intelligence of the United States are part of the Allied Forces in Europe.

Well, basically two. First, the interception of Zimmerman's telegram in which the German's asked Mexico for its support in the war, in exchange for further support to take some of its territories back from the US. Secondly, the sinking of the Lusitania ship in European waters by the German Navy.
