Elaine works as an editor, checking submitted articles off against a set list of criteria and rules. She notes that it's annoying to switch across various tabs in Word as she completes her work and having to keep opening and closing the criteria list as she works through an article. What could you suggest to Elaine could help her?

Answer:

The solution to Elaine's problem is very simple.

She can keep both tabs open side by side as she works.

Step-by-step explanation:

Microsoft Word being a product of Microsoft Office integrates nicely with the Windows operating system to enable ease of switching between documents.

One of the options available to Elaine is for her to keep the Criterial List open on one side of the screen and her work on the other side. She can do this by:

  1. Clicking on the tab which contains her work from the taskbar
  2. Pressing the Start + Right Arrow button. This will automatically minimize her work to the right part of the screen such that there is exactly an equal space left for her to display the other document
  3. Next, she should click on the tab which contains Criteria List, then
  4. Press the Start + Left Arrow button. This will also take the Criterial List document and situate it on the left side of her screen.

By now both documents will be open on the screen, occupying exactly the same space.

Cheers
