PLZ HELP ITS DUE TODAY!!!!!!!

Problem 1: Over time, houses can sink slightly due to shifts in the soil below. One house was built with its ground at sea level, and over a period of 7 years, it sank to an elevation of -1 5/16 feet. How much change each year in elevation of house?

-3/16 feet a year

Explanation:

since we have a whole number 1 (5/16), we can turn this into an improper fraction 16(from the one) +5=21/16, since we know the number of years (7) we can divide 21 by the number of years. 21/7=3. So it went down 3 feet a year. Hope this helped!
