Please help everyone, i need help on this really badly.

Solve the system of equations using the substitution method.
{y=2 2x+y=8

Answer: x=3

Explanation:

Substitute y with 2, so it would look like this:
2x+(2)=8

Then, subtract 2 (as it is by itself) from 8, which is on the other side, and it’ll look like this:
2x=6

Divide by 2 from both sides to isolate the variable, and you should get your answer:
x=3
