28 boxes maximum
Explanation:
Given
Capacity of a boat = 1000 pounds
Equipment = 300 pounds
Boxes = 25 pounds each
Number of boxes = x
Required inequality
300 + 25x ≤ 1000
25x ≤ 700
x ≤ 700/25
x ≤ 28 boxes
