Slope intercept form equation is y=mx+b

M=Slope

Slope equation is y2-y1 over x2-x1

So -16 - 47 over 2- (-4)

-63 over 6

Divide by 3 to simplify

= -21 over 2

Keep that as your answer for slope because a mixed number can't be used for slope but an improper fraction is perfectly fine

To find b use one point given (I chose to use (2, -16)

Plug that in and your slope to find b

-16= -21/2 (2) +b

-16= -21+b

+21 +21

5=b

Now plug that in and youre done

Y= -21/2x + 5
