You take a package to the local shipping company. They charge $0.72 per pound, and also has a fixed cost of $5

per package. If P represents the number of pounds of your package, and C is the total cost of shipping your
package, which of these is the correct relationship between P and C?

Answer:

yoy didnt put a picture of the answer choices, so I'm not sure which one this would be, but the answer would be C=5 + .72P

Explanation:

C is the total cost, so that would be on the opposite side of the equal sign from P. the 5 would be the constant, since that is the starting price for all packages, and the .72 is the price per pound, so you would have to multiply .72 by P pounds in order to complete the equation.

Hope this helps!
