If 2/3 are blue, 1/3 are not, and if 5/8 of the rest are blue, 3/8 are red.
(3/8)(1/3) = 3/24 = 1/8
So, the 6 red boats are 1/8 of the total. If 1/8 is 6, then 8/8 is 48 total boats.
(1/8)t = 6
t = 6(8)
t = 48
