Source 1: Interview with former enslaved man in 1936. The interviewer is a Black man collecting

oral histories for the Federal Writers' Project, a federal program in the 1930s that attempted to

document the experiences of enslaved people who still survived at that time. Source 2: Interview

with former slave in 1936. The interviewer is a white woman collecting oral histories for the

Federal Writers' Project. Which of these sources would be the most reliable, and why? Again, be

sure to explain your answer.

Answer:

The Source 1 Which happens to be "The interviewer is a Black man collecting oral histories for the Federal Writers' Project, a federal program in the 1930's that attempted to document the experiences of enslaved people who still survived at that time" would be most reliable source.

This is because, there is a likelihood that, the black man has ancestors (grandfather, grand uncles, relatives etc) who could have being slaves in the 1930's and passed their experience down their generation orally till it reaches him.
