If each of the dimensions was enlarged by 3 units then the new length would be 5 and the new width would be 6. To find the area of the triangle we use the formula: A = L x W ÷ 2.


6 x 5 = 30ft2
30 ÷ 2 = 15ft2


Therefore the new area of the triangle would be 15ft2.
