Let the scale factor be k, then

  • Surface area is a product of 2 dimensions so the ratio of surface area of the solids would be k²
  • Volume is the product of 3 dimensions so the ratio of volumes would be k³

Considering this we have:

  • 1100 = 176*k²
  • 19000 = x*k³

The value of x is

  • x = 19000/k³

Finding the scale factor

  • k= √1100/176 = 2.5
