Answer:

Explanation:

Per pound is $1.38, so split it in half to get $0.69 for half a pound.

Then you have 1.38 + 1.38 + 0.68 = $3.45 total for Gina.

Per pound is $0.98, if you split that in half you get $0.49 for half a pound.

Add it up, 0.98 + 0.98 + 0.98 + 0.49 = $3.43.

You can see Gina spent more, and then you subtract 3.43 from 3.45 and get $0.02.
