In 2000, Ohio's population was 11.4 million and and increasing by 0.5 million each year. Michigan's population was 9.9 million, increasing by 0.6 million each year. at this rate when will the population of Michigan be greater than the population of Ohio

Answer:

In 10 years they would be the same, so in 11 years Michigan's population will be greater.

If you add 9.9 by 0.6 10 times you would get an answer of 15.9, and the same with 11.4 plus 0.5... So if you did it one more time Michigan would get 16.5 and Ohio would get 16.4.

So the answer is 11. (10 would equal the same amount)
