Why might the majority of migrants be moving to the Eastern part of Sudan

Employment opportunities are the most common reason due to which people migrate. Except this, lack of opportunities, better education, construction of dams, globalization, natural disaster (flood and drought) and sometimes crop failure forced villagers to migrate to cities.

Nearly 2.3 million South Sudanese have fled to neighboring countries and 1.87 million remain internally displaced in South Sudan due to violent conflict throughout the country. It is the largest refugee crisis in Africa and the third largest refugee crisis in the world.
