hello, there are 208 ducks, there are 449 more ducks who want to come to the lake 208 + 499 = 707 total ducks The maximum number of ducks this lake can buy is 250.

formula = total ducks - total number of ducks it can afford = calculates how big the lake can be.

so 707-250 = 457
