Answer:

y = 24 - 12x

Explanation:

24x + 2y = 48

Get 2y by itself and subtract 24 x on both sides.

24x + 2y = 48

-24x -24x

2y = 48 - 24x

To have y all by itself, divide by 2 on both sides.

2y = 48 - 24x

/2 /2

(You have to divide 2 by everything on the other side so...)

y = 24 - 12x
