x=6
y=24

To get to 24, you multiply x by 4

x= ____
y=32
To get x, start with y and do the reverse, dividing by 4. 32/4=8

So, x=8

Answer:

8

Explanation:

if y varies with x, then they are directly proportional, so their ratio is constant (ie x divided by y is allways the same)

when x = 6, y = 24:

y / x = 4

when y = 32:

32 / x = 4

so x = 32 / 4 = 8
