Part 1: If I leave oil pastels in a room that gets hot (like the garage) will they melt?

Answer:

um ok old pastels should not go bad unless they crumble or do not smear if they do that then they are definitally bad and u should get you a new set as for leaving them in a garage im not quite shure if they will melt it just depends on how hot it is but in the winter they should be fine in the garage as long as u keep them away from pests such as rats....

  • Old oil pastels should be fine as long as they don't crumble and are smearable with fingers or color shapes. The wax bloom on the outside of the old pastels can be wiped or scraped off. That is not unusual in the cheaper set as they age
